is better in self help tapes ones "self hypnosis " or "subliminal tapes"? In as of self improvement quit smoking, weight loss tapes,etc.

Self-Hypnosis tapes would be more effective than subliminal tapes. Even more effective treatment is to work with a Hypnotherapist first. What can happen with so-called subliminal tapes is that if one falls asleep and is now in an "unconscious" state...the effectiveness is lost. Being in a state of hypnosis, is the most affective state to be in for receiving new positive information. The hypnotic state is a "heightened state of awareness" where both the subconscious and conscious minds meet.
