I am 43 yr old female diagnosed with fm 9 yrs ago. I was prescribed lg doses of pamelor as treatment. I know that if you go to the NFMA website they can give you info on clinical trials going on and also some alternative trials. Some fm patients have had great success with the guaifensin protocol.
I myself have yet to try it but with the change of weather affecting my fibro I may try it too.

I started the protocol about a month ago, by using Entex LA {generic} 2 times a day.

I also started taking generic Klonopin to help me sleep and Skelaxin 3 times a day.

Something has helped the pain. Sleeping could be helping. But the Entex LA helps with pain. Do some research on the net.

Nothing has helped with the energy, I found Redline at GNC and now at Walmart, that keeps me awake to make it through the day.
